Let's have a look at some of the best games in the Ready, Set, Play sale.
1000xRESIST (PS5)
$11.99/£9.59 (-40%)
1000xRESIST is all in on story, and this laser focus allows it to tell one of the most captivating and intriguing experiences you can have in video games. This sci-fi adventure sees an alien disease almost wipe out humanity, but one person is immune, and they rebuild society underground by cloning her. Combining visual novel elements with exploration, it's not the most challenging game to play, but its narrative more than makes it worthwhile.
Afterlove EP (PS5)
$9.99/£7.99 (-50%)
Afterlove EP is a bittersweet musical adventure that effectively navigates some tough subject matter. While the rhythm sequences are a little rough around the edges, exploring the town and moving through the narrative is well worth experiencing on its own — and the music itself is great. If you're in the mood for a story-driven game that isn't shying away from heavy themes, this will hit the spot.
Anger Foot (PS5)
$5.99/£4.79 (-70%)
Anger Foot is an aggressive action game that feels like a sort of first-person Hotline Miami. This rapid-paced experience is all about kicking down doors and destroying groups of enemies in quick succession, using your feet and all manner of weaponry at your disposal. With colourful visuals and a pulse-pounding soundtrack, this comes recommended for anyone looking for some violent, high-speed thrills.
Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration (PS5)
$15.99/£13.99 (-60%)
While many of the included games may border on unplayable from a modern perspective, the painstaking attention to detail in Atari 50: The Anniversary Celebration is extremely easy to appreciate. The museum-like carousel of content, from interviews through to original artwork, is presented so handsomely that you can’t not get swept up in Atari’s dramatic story. And the fact that there over 100 of the company’s most famous titles, emulated excellently with their original instruction manuals available to pore over, adds playable context to a lot of the content. This is just an impressive overall experience that will appeal to those who lived through the rise (and fall) of Atari, as well as younger players eager to learn a little more about one of the industry’s true pioneers.
Black Myth: Wukong (PS5)
$41.99/£38.49 (-30%)
Black Myth: Wukong looked almost impossibly impressive in the lead-up to its launch, and in some ways it definitely delivers. Rewarding progression, nimble combat, and dozens of larger-than-life boss fights makes this an entertaining action game that rivals the genre's best. While some aspects of its design hold it back from being truly great, it's a staggeringly good effort from developer Game Science that has us very excited for the follow-up.
Blue Prince (PS5)
$17.99/£14.99 (-40%)
A compelling combination of first-person puzzle solving with roguelike elements, Blue Prince is a unique and deceptively deep adventure. Rich with puzzles and secrets, you'll discover or learn something new every time you build your way through the mysterious mansion. There's far more to this game than meets the eye, and for its most determined players, there's a high degree of satisfaction to be found in peeling back its many layers.
Catherine: Full Body (PS4)
$7.99/£6.99 (-80%)
Half interactive story, half cube-based puzzler, Catherine: Full Body is the expanded remaster of Atlus' brilliantly weird take on love. You play as Vincent, a 32-year-old bachelor who can't quite decide if he wants to commit to his long-term girlfriend. His potential infidelity gives way to suspiciously vivid nightmares where he's forced to scramble up towers made of blocks, lest he wake up dead. It's as mental as it sounds, but the tactile puzzles are addictive, and the storytelling is gripping at its best.
Chants of Sennaar (PS4)
$9.99/£7.99 (-50%)
If you're after a striking and unique puzzle game, Chants of Sennaar should be high on your list. With a focus on understanding and translating a series of fictional languages, you make progress in this game by piecing together the meaning of symbols and characters throughout the world. It has a great visual style and an intriguing narrative to boot.
Crow Country (PS5)
$9.99/£7.74 (-50%)
If you're nostalgic for PS1's fixed-camera survival horror classics like Resident Evil, you need to play Crow Country immediately. This creepy game has you exploring an abandoned theme park with dark secrets and horrifying creatures lurking in the shadows. You'll solve environmental puzzles, fight back against nightmarish entities, and piece together a mystery in this retro-style horror title that ticks all the boxes.
Date Everything (PS5)
$10.19/£10.19 (-66%)
This unusual spin on the dating sim lives up to its name. Date Everything is a game with hundreds of inanimate objects turned into humanoid beings you can form relationships with, be they platonic or romantic. With great art and voice acting from lots of well-known performers, this is a silly visual novel that's sure to have something for everyone.
Dragon Quest Builders 2 (PS4)
$19.99/£17.49 (-50%)
Dragon Quest Builders 2 improves upon the first game in pretty much every way. This spin-off combines the RPG trappings of Dragon Quest with Minecraft-style building and survival mechanics, resulting in a robust and addictive adventure. With a better story and characters, smoother progression, and charming presentation, this is a successful offshoot of the historic franchise.

Othercide is a fantastic game for which I had hoped to see a sequel. Unfortunately, one has not arrived, so I'm guessing we wont be getting one.
Talos Principle is also a superb game. It is one of the best puzzle games out there...
If you don't own Nidhogg GET ON IT! Absolute classic couch fighting game
Will someone let me know if a sale is ever posted about ever again that does NOT include Catherine b/c I swear it’s been in every one as far back as I can remember. It’s the one picture I recognize every time I scroll to the comments section b/c I’m not wasting any time looking at an alphabetical list, I just want to see when the comments started so I can find out if this is an old or new article, the beginning or last chance for the sale. Thanks. 😆
I wish these lists had just a nice text list on the first page before the more detailed info. That way I don't have to click through 4 pages of games I see on sale every two weeks.
Thanks for providing it, though.
I really enjoyed Blue Prince. I played it using Gemini to log my progress and maintain the story line as I progressed. It’d also help me reroute back to previous clues. There’s so much more to the game than Room 46.
Ready, Set, Same Games As Always.

This is the first time I’ve seen Black Myth on sale since it released two years ago.
