After countless leaks and rumours, Nintendo's Switch 2 has finally been officially announced, and the industry is now patiently awaiting further information in a few months' time.
It's always exciting when a new console is on the horizon, and as mentioned, they usually bring a lot of rumours and leaks with them. Notably, NateDrake, or Nate the Hate, stated the machine would be unveiled on Thursday 16th January, 2025, with a trailer focusing predominantly on the hardware and not any particular games — and that's exactly what's happened.
Now that NateDrake has hit the bullseye with this leak, it's clear he's a reliable source of information, and it means his other recent statements are more likely to be true as well.
One such rumour is that of Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Microsoft Flight Simulator heading to PS5 this year. Now that the Switch 2 has proven NateDrake right, his other claims seem more likely to follow suit — leaving alone the fact that Windows Central has corroborated this rumour in particular.
He's also recently suggested that Sony's next State of Play is planned for February.
Obviously the proof is in the pudding, so we can't be fully confident in NateDrake's information, but it sure seems more legit now than it did prior to the Switch 2 reveal.
