AdHoc Studio, a team including former Telltale Games writers and directors, has just announced Dispatch — a comedy narrative adventure about working the desk behind a team of superheroes.
Citing previous work on beloved games like The Wolf Among Us and Tales from the Borderlands, this new game is looking great in its debut trailer.
You play as Robert Robertson, a man who used to don a bulky suit as Mecha Man, but the outfit was destroyed, effectively ending his superhero career. He gets a job working in the office that dispatches a team of other superhumans.
Gameplay looks like a combination of the branching conversation choices you know from Telltale-style adventures and more involved sequences in which you aim to send out the best hero for threats that pop up around the city.
It sounds as though you'll also need to upgrade superheroes in your team as the story goes on so they're more effective in the field.
The blend of gameplay here sounds really interesting, as does the cast list. It includes the likes of Aaron Paul, Jeffrey Wright, and Laura Bailey alongside YouTubers such as MoistCr1TiKaL and Jacksepticeye.
The game is targeting "PC and console", so PS5 is unspecified as of right now, but hopefully we'll get confirmation soon.

This looked excellent. High hopes for it.
Enjoyed the trailer. I got slight Invincible vibes from this.
Seen the dispatch style mechanic used before in the likes of This Is The Police, but certainly looks a bit flashier than it was & bit of Incredibles style humour mixed in. Got my interest, hopefully comes on PS5 too. PC wishlist meantime to keep a watch!
Not usually into these types of games, but this one has me interested. Gave me weird The Boys meets Big Hero 6 vibes. Throw in an Aunt Cass type character and I'm sold lol!
I like the look of this. Although you know you're getting old when you read the words "alongside YouTubers such as MoistCr1TiKaL" and begin to worry you're having a stroke
Hmm..not completely sold yet but I will keep an eye on it. The game could turn out to be a good time, I really do hope for it.
@Gremio108 Thank you for making my day with that comment; I'm likely in the same age bracket as you
Looks nice and its funny.
@Gremio108 Pensei o mesmo.
The trailer was really interesting, I like when we get games with comedy, and the schtick between Aaron and Laura was cute.
Going to be honest: it was one of the top highlights of many for me last night. Seems right up my alley
Once we get past all the “heavy hitter” announcements, this is easily the one I’m most excited for. Interesting premise and amazing art style. Looking forward to hearing more.
I loved the wolf among us and the art style looks cool I’ll have to keep an eye on this
@FuriousMachine Lol yeah probably. Give it a few years and "Moist Critical" is what I'll be shouting at my carer when the incontinence strikes in public
@Gremio108 Hahahaha, that conjured an image of a rest home with a bunch of shriveled, toothless Abe Simpson look-a-likes sitting around waving their arms and shouting in consternation "Moist Critical! Moist Critical"
The game looks good but this looks like it would be so much better if it was a show. Give me like invisible vibes 🤔
This looks very cool. I love the characters and setting.
This & Naughty Dog's Intergalactic were the two that really piqued my interest. Will be following both!
