In these early couple of weeks of 2024, it's been a little quiet on the new releases front, and that means the UK's physical games chart is pretty much a list of the usual suspects. Up at the top is EA Sports FC 24, pinching the number one slot from Hogwarts Legacy, now in second. There aren't too many surprises here.
Having said that, though, we weren't expecting to see both Mortal Kombat 1 and Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate back in the thick of it. Presumably the two fighting games are going cheap, as they're third and fourth respectively, beating out competition from Nintendo Switch titles and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3, which is currently sixth. A little further down, GTA5 is in eighth and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 clings on at number nine.

Definitely some cheap sales going on to boost the Mortal Kombat games and It Takes Two. Talking of cheap sales, Immortals of Aveum went down to £5 in Asda last week and still couldn't make the charts 😬.
I'm from the UK and I'm so impressed that Hogwarts Legacy has been in the top 10 almost every week since it's release, Fifa I expect because UT mode basically makes it live service so to see a single player game like that is awesome.
I am so happy for Rockstar games. They deserve it more than anyone.
It'll be interesting to see how well TLoU 2 Remastered does over the coming weeks.
