Persona 5 Tactica Is Launching This Year, But No Mention of PS5, PS4 Yet

Not bad by any means but not great either. Also feel like Atlus needs to stop milking Persona 5 at this point (They should have stopped after Royal tbh)

They wouldn't release such a niche title only on the lowest selling console in Japan, this will also definitely be coming to the switch and will sell best on that.

Not sure how I feel about this. Not a big fan of strategy games (outside of Disgaea and SD Gundam Generation games) and I am getting burnt out by P5 contents.

My gripes aside, this will get a PS5/Switch release no doubt. Not throwing any shades on Xbox but for a niche game like this, Sega would be crazy to only sell this game on that platform considering how it's doing in Japan.

The marketing by MS and Atlus is working though, people already believe these games are exclusive to Xbox, as can be seen on social media.
There is not way in hell this game is not releasing at least on Switch. It's a Chibi tactical RPG, they'll sell 3 copies on Xbox.

I’m a big enough Persona fan to play it regardless, but ehhh…

If they were going to do this art style + magical setting, I wish they’d just made a Persona Q successor with characters from the 3 games. Strikers actually moved the characters forward a bit, but I don’t see that happening here. And why are they still treating Royal as non-canon?

Though, I just saw that the Refantasy anouncement already has 13K likes on Twitter.
I don't think many will stick around for 72 hour to find if it's coming to PlayStation.

Likely because it was a relatively small subset of the playerbase that got to experience that story. Even if you bought the version, chances are that you would not see the final semester content unless you played following a guide. If they are going to make sequels and spinoffs, its safer to assume the players picking it up experienced, at best, the base "good" ending.

Personally, I'm not only playing this game, I'm buying it, even if its on Game Pass.

Now if they only released Persona Q and Persona Q 2 for PS4/5, Switch and XBox.

Tbh Persona 5 is milked like 4 so I had my fill of it enough is enough im ready to move on. Reminds me a bit of Persona Q games but more tactical focused.

I’m guessing their highly anticipated character is someone from a Persona game, probably from the P5 universe. I would hope it would be Kasumi. But who knows? If they are going to keep building on P5 it gets increasingly weird to ignore her storyline.

Love SRPGs and Love persona. All in all one of my most anticipated games of the year.

But probably will buy for Switch.

@Tharsman Yeah, that could be their thinking. Still, Sumi’s on the cover of the game and everyone who played Royal knows she’s a persona-user at least. Obviously her [spoiler] being different might be a surprise, but I don’t think that’s a big enough deal to not include her. They could allude to Joker helping her out without laying out the full story of the final semester.
