The wait for Diablo 4 has been an infernal one, but worry not, weary wanderer. The appointed time draws ever closer. We know because we just got this hype-as-heck story launch trailer, despite the game not actually launching until 6th June (2nd June for purchasers of the Ultimate Edition).
To be clear, this is the story trailer to get the masses in motion, ready for the endlessly gratifying action RPG gameplay that a Diablo game is at its core. True connoisseurs of the occult already know this, of course, and will instead just rewatch the seven-minute feast for the senses that is this in-depth lore video.
Are you ready? Will this be your first trip to Hell, or have you survived the journey before? Stay awhile, and listen in the comments section below.

Can't wait! This game will be awsome. Hail Lilith, Hail Mother!
Nice to have a stylish game, many top down games are too bland.
@Jtheripper Think that too. Wanted to buy Divinity 2 for a long time but something holds me back every time on that. This will be my first Diablo and I loved the play test. Hyped.
Really looking forward to this. Roll on next few weeks
Can’t wait for June 2nd to play this im hyped I loved 3
Horrible music ruined the trailer. They really have to stop putting generic pop music in these video game trailers.
I want to play it so much, but I am against Blizzard's server DRM practices. I guess I will "play" it on YouTube
@Zuljaras you xbox playa? 😆
@djape I have a 360 and One X but I am definitely NOT Xbox player
The 360 was MS last good console.
I just do not like games where you could have a single player experience to force you to a server logic.
@Zuljaras its a joke mate lol
I really wanted to like this game. I played the server slam which was my first time playing a Diablo game. But it seemed so grindy and repetitive to me. I love the setting and lore. Such a shame it didn't click
Whenever I come across "Diablo" and "Story" in the same sentence or paragraph I always have to giggle inside (just a tiny bit) - same for any FS title of course.
@Rjak I think there is a connection between success and repetitiveness and grindiness in games. The more boring, grindy etc. it is, the more popular (same with FS titles etc)
@ORO_ERICIUS I beseech you to play Divinity 2! It's not an actiony rpg or hack and slash like Diablo, however, but a crpg )or tactical rpg, if you like), but the gane is incredible! Fantastic writing, huge amount of flexibility in how you approach it and genuinely one of my most played and enjoyed games ever. This will get you hyped for Baldur's Gate 3!
@J2theEzzo okay thank you!!!
@ORO_ERICIUS If you are even remotely interested, I'd highly recommend Divinity 2. Obviously wildly different to Diablo, but similarly complex. One of my all-time favourites!
@ORO_ERICIUS Divinity 2 is a must play..
@Khayl @Fill3rup_ you guys hahaha... forcing my inner pig to buy that game now. Thank you!
@ORO_ERICIUS My work here is done.....
Thats a sweet trailer, but I'll wait before buying this. Diablo 3 was balls. I have to confirm the game isn't as bad as its predecessor. Also:
