Final Fantasy 16 PS5

Final Fantasy XVI has been handed a Brazilian age rating as speculation swirls of a release date announcement at The Game Awards next week. The JRPG has been deemed "not recommended for children under 16" due to "sexual content, sensitive issues, and violence".

With the release window currently set for summer 2023, it's being reported Square Enix will open up PS5 pre-orders in time with a launch date reveal at Geoff's Keighley's show. It's already been confirmed we'll learn the PS5 release date before the end of the year, and The Game Awards is the biggest place for it in the month of December — as long as there's no last-minute PlayStation Showcase.

The sixteenth mainline entry in Square Enix's JRPG series will be exclusive to PS5 for at least six months, with a New Game+ mode and a hardcore difficulty setting already confirmed. It was revealed last month that development is on the home stretch, so a release date in the near future wouldn't be too surprising.
