Update: Sony's main official channels have now confirmed the Sackboy: A Big Adventure PC port will be releasing worldwide on 27th October 2022. There's also a new trailer demonstrating some of the features mentioned down below.

Original story: It appears the Latin American PlayStation YouTube channel has jumped the gun a little with a new 30-second trailer confirming Sackboy: A Big Adventure will be ported to PC on 27th October 2022. It's the only region to confirm the version for the personal computer at the time of writing, but it's expected other territories will follow suit later today.

This is very much the real deal, though. The video confirms PC editions for Steam and the Epic Games Store, with a 4K resolution and 120 frames-per-second. There'll also be ultrawide 21:9 support, Nvidia DLSS usage, and a variable refresh rate.

The new release date means Sony will be busy next month in the PC space, with the Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection releasing eight days before it on 19th October 2022. A Returnal PC port has also leaked time and time again, with the latest being a video of its in-game settings menu. That's yet to be officially announced, however. Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales is also swinging to PC in the future after the main game set new sales records for Sony in the mouse and keyboard market.

We awarded an 8/10 rating in our Sackboy: A Big Adventure PS5 review back during the system's launch. Praising its varied level design, soundtrack, and imaginative visuals, we concluded: "There’s a lot of love been poured into Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and thus it’s hard not to love it back. This is a brilliant platformer with tons of imaginative ideas and a strong sense of style."
