Dying Light PS4

Techland's post-launch support of 2015 game Dying Light has been nothing short of immense, but all good things must come to an end. After a whole seven years of expansions, patches, and content updates, the Polish studio is closing the book on the title with a final Definitive Edition available on the PS Store tomorrow. You will be automatically upgraded to this new version if you already own the Platinum Edition.

If not, the new Definitive Edition will be discounted by as much as 70 per cent when the listing goes live in the next 24 hours. It contains the base game and a whopping 26 pieces of DLC, including The Following expansion and many skin bundles. Don't forget Dying Light recently received a PS5 patch, so it'll look and run better on your current-gen system. You can flick between a few different modes that prioritise resolutions and frame rates.

Even if you only own the original game, though, you're still benefiting from the launch of the Definitive Edition. Techland is also making the Harran Tactical Unit Bundle free for two weeks, which includes armour skins and a handful of weapons. It usually costs £2.49/$2.99. This is on top of the recent offer which saw the contents of the Enhanced Edition given out to every single Dying Light PS4 owner for free.

And while no new content will be developed for the game, past events will be rerolled into the first-person title on an undetermined basis. In a press release, Techland said: "Once again, we couldn’t be happier with the awe-inspiring memories this game has brought us, primarily because of our wonderful community. And yet, we also feel it’s the perfect time to move on and shift our focus towards brand-new adventures in the city of Villedor."
