Marvel's Spider-Man Miles Morales PS5 PlayStation 5 1

It’s no surprise to see Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales selling well – it was pretty much destined to be a sure-fire hit really, wasn’t it? – but as part of its rip-roaring financial report, Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 spin-off has sold through 4.1 million units as of the end of December.

The original Marvel’s Spider-Man took just under a year to sell through 13.2 million units, so while it’s unlikely Miles Morales will hit those dizzying heights, it’s shouldn’t be too far off when all’s said and done – especially with the title’s sales skewing towards the PlayStation 5, and Sony aiming to increase next-gen supply over the coming months.

Obviously this is a refreshing to see, as Insomniac Games delivered a brilliant spin-off that strongly established another key character in its original superhero universe. While we expect Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be next on the docket for the developer, we’re hopeful there’ll be more spin-offs from the studio in the future. How about a Spider-Gwen game?
