Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War players can breathe at least one sigh of relief as Treyarch confirms that weapon XP gain has been increased as part of the PlayStation 5 title's latest patch. Arriving overnight for fans, the update simply reads: "Increased Weapon XP earn rates for both Multiplayer and Zombies". We don't know by how much it has been increased, but at least attachments will now definitely unlock at a faster rate.
Besides that fix, the latest update addresses an out-of-bounds glitch found in the new Nuketown '84 map that players had been taking advantage of as well as progression tweaks for Zombies. Weapon XP has also been increased in the mode as it wasn't hitting Treyarch's targets in solo matches and later rounds, and the Napalm Burst Ammo Mod should now reliably reward XP. A patch all about fixing experience gain then, it seems.

Bought it last week single player campaign was good but really short, the multiplayer is pretty bad tbh, the maps are pretty bad think I only like 2 of them, it doesn't feel good when playing, feels very "heavy" I put the sensetivity up to 9 and still feels a bit weird, bit gutted as I only really bought it for the ps5 dualsense to see how it felt, which is good, Hopefully get more maps and better maps soon.
I’ve had nothing but problems with this game on my ps5. The console just freezes during every multiplayer game and it’s also happened in the campaign several times. Is it a problem with my ps5 or has anyone else experienced this?
@Number1oasis had an issue this weekend where the game turned off my system completely not once, but twice.
Good news as I thought it took a bit too longer to earn attachments.
@Arugula Yeah if you like campers and don't like moving around much yourself.
@Arugula Even the objective base modes are just filled with campers and half the time no one even plays the objectives.
@PizzaHunk78 yeah I had 5 multiplayer matches in a row that froze the system last night so I gave up
@Arugula Lol. Don't get me wrong if you like that play style then I can see why Modern Warfare is better but for me I can't do the camping thing I just get bored lol. I need to move around and in Modern Warfare it's a death sentence with people mounting guns and such. It's just different playstyles.
It's almost to the point where yeah both Modern Warfare and Cold War are called Call of Duty but they play different. Modern Warfare seemed to do a more gritty realistic take on the CoD formula where as Cold War went the Arcadey way. I honestly hope that Activision continues to support both games for many years to give people that choice.
I'm enjoying Domination and Hardpoint. Pretty frantic. Like the smaller maps and more objective play. Hate sniping.
It doesn't top Modern Warfare as I thought that campaign and multiplayer were great. Though the Cold War campaign had some nice moments. And it looked good on the PS5.
The TTK in Cold War isn't as bad as I was expecting. It is good to jump in and play a few rounds.
@Number1oasis Had one hard crash on my PS5 playing the Cold War campaign. No issues with the multiplayer.
Personally I don't think cold war is on the same level as modern warfare yet. You can deffinately feel it was rushed and not made as a team effort due to covid. They really need TO SORT THE SPAWNS OUT.. constantly having people spawn behind you is annoying although you can take out a full team I just feel they need to rethink them. Apart from that I'm just waiting for some decent maps as there's only a few that I like personally and I hate miami (100% camping guaranteed map) lol.. and it crashes my Xbox a fair bit aswel.. there's so many bugs such as the leaderboards etc.. but for every problem they fix it seems a new one arises😏
Friends list missing on ps5 cold war any ideas
