Latest PS5 Ad Is All About the Games

New worlds to explore

After Sony failed to highlight a single PlayStation 5 title in its previous western TV advertisement for the upcoming console, the Japanese giant has put out another commercial packed full of them. Of its one minute run time, only the final 10 seconds are used to circle back to the idea of breaking new grounds and flashing the PS5 system on screen.

So, what games are part of the ad? Opening with Horizon Forbidden West, we quickly transition to Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Returnal, and Gran Turismo 7. Then there's Demon's Souls and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. What's most interesting though is that the commercial states Gran Turismo 7, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, and Returnal are all currently planned to launch in the first half of 2021. What an exciting eight months we have ahead of ourselves.

Liam grew up with a PlayStation controller in his hands and a love for Metal Gear Solid. Nowadays, he can be found playing the latest and greatest PS5 games as well as supporting Derby County. That last detail is his downfall.

@BearsEatBeets No, seeing as the previous article discusses the release windows of PS5 games rather than the advert itself.

I know most of those games are on PS4 as well but they sure look amazing!

Talk about a complete 180 from the PS3 and PS4 launch windows. In my opinion there wasn't really much that caught my attention on PS4 until Bloodborne came out and FFVII Remake was confirmed shortly thereafter at that year's E3

If all of the games showcased actually manage to come out during the first year of the console's lifecycle I'd argue this launch window would end up being even more impressive than the Switch's lineup during its first year, especially given the scale of all of these titles. And even then there's still a bunch of third party exclusive content like GhostWire, Deathloop, the new Oddworld and obviously Final Fantasy XVI
