While Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was absolutely a great PlayStation 4 game, its sales probably weren't quite as impressive as they could have been due to a high introductory price. That has been rectified, at least for a week, as the Madcap Marsupial becomes the PlayStation Store's Deal of the Week. Live through until 11th November 2020, you can now pick up a digital copy of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time for £44.99/$44.99. That's a saving of 25% right there.
In the 8/10 Push Square review, we described the game as a seriously good return to form. "It might be tough, even a little mean at times, but this is the proper sequel fans have been asking for. With so much to see and do, this is a stylish, confident 3D platformer that brings Crash back at his best." If you're interested, EU customers can purchase the title at a discounted rate through here while US users can do the same via this link.

44.99 USD = 34.62 GBP
That's why I buy my games on Canadian store instead of French store. American prices are way better than European prices.
And this is why I don't buy games at launch. The game's barely a month old and it's already on sale
still to expensive, needs atleast 50% discount before i even think about it. even then probably wait till it's lower than that.
£45 isn't a decent price for digital
Love Crash, but still too high a price for me.
Why? I can just pick it up for 50 (£5 more) physical then trade it back for £37 when finished in a few weeks. £13 is so much better value than £45, especially for single playthrough games. Not going to pay over 3 x as much by getting it in this digital “sale”.
@mik987 yeah, imagine rewarding someone for all the hard work they've put into something. Crazy!
£45? That's like full price!
Noticed a few games like this going massively up in price due to PS5 support. It seems it's incredibly expensive when actual PS4 games are about £40 tops.
Are PS4 owners viewed as being so rich we can afford to subsidise PS5 developments?
@hi_drnick it's just opportunity cost. This game isn't worth $45 to me, but I would've clicked right over to the store if it had said $25. I will wait until demand drops, and supply stays the same, and purchase it at the price I'm willing to pay. Kudos to the Crash team for all their hard work though!
A better deal might come around closer to Christmas hopefully.
That's the same price as physical most places lol.
Crap. Bought it last thursday on the store.
That's still really high for that game, I think by March it should be $20 which is about right.
Why do you guys have a problem with the original price for this game? I’m asking out of curiosity. Was it more expensive than the trilogy? I’m wondering what’s behind people’s resistance to buying it. Everybody seemed excited for this game, until it released. 🤷🏾♂️
Hhhmmm price is getting tempting I.e it’s the price it should have released at. However, my personal rule if the hours of play are <10 it’s a £25 price tag.
Also, might wait for physical, as when I finish I can sell it on for x amount, whereas digital I get nothing!
@outsider83
Yes it was more expensive than the trilogy. You got the trilogy at $40 at launch which is basically 3 games in 1
This game was $60 at launch so i guess people were put off by the price. I personally will only get when its in the bargain bin because my backlog is already big enough and anticipate it will hit $20 soon due to low sales.
@outsider83 Partly because platformers are generally cheaper than your average AAA game. I don't necessarily think they should be, but people were probably taken aback when Crash 4 was more than the average platformer.
Then there's the fact it was more expensive than the 3 in
bundle.
Finally, at £55 it was more expensive than your average physical PS4 game at lauch, not just platformers.
I brought it day one because I though it looked great (it is a great game), and I want to show support for 3D platformers so they can hopefully have a resurgence, but I understand why people aren't buying it.
