We've heard a fair amount about Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales lately, but it seems there's more to learn about this upcoming PlayStation 5 launch title. Eurogamer was treated to a viewing of the first 25 minutes of the game, and has put together everything it found out in the above video. Even if you've been keeping up with all the news, there's one or two new bits of info to be found here, so it's worth a watch.
There's some brief looks at new gameplay footage, centred around a fight with Rhino, but we'll leave that for you to watch yourself. As for new information, we learn that Peter Parker leaves Manhattan near the start of the game to help Mary Jane on an overseas assignment, putting Miles in charge of protecting the city. However, he has Ganke Lee, his best friend, helping him, predominantly by producing an app that allows citizens to report crimes directly to Spider-Man. This manifests in-game with a list of tasks, and will lead to some full side missions as well.
The video also touches on new character Danika Hart, someone from the comics who appears in the game as a podcast host in support of Spider-Man. It sounds like her perspective will directly counter that of J. Jonah Jameson, so there will be a fairer balance in what you hear as you swing around the city.
We won't spill all the beans here, but would again recommend you watch the above preview if you're looking for more info on Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales. Are you looking forward to playing? Web zip into the comments section below.

Is jjj still in the game? His radio show is hilarious in spider-man ps4
@Medic_Alert Yeah, sony is giving too much info about spidey miles morales, I think they should stop and give others games info instead, like demon's souls, sackboy, and godfall. Maybe 1 weeks each.
@Medic_Alert @wiiware Would also be nice if they gave us some more info on Ratchet & Clank, still no release date! I find it strange for them to release an 8 min or so game play video and have Ratchet & Clank as the main game displayed on the Store on the UI video but still no news on release date - a lot of people, including myself, thought it was a launch title!
@Medic_Alert I agree, seems like every morning there's some new blowout of information. I havent looked at too much of it as I was sold from the very first trailer, but it does seem a bit much at this point.
It is amazing this game. First Spider-Man was also amazing for me and would be better thanks to remaster treatment. Cannot wait to play again Spidey remastered and Miles. So hyped!
Gameinformer gonna upload whole game walkthrough next week at this rate😡
@Abwag @Medic_Alert @Medic_Alert Completely agree!
Constantly focusing on Miles Morales makes it sound like it's the only PS5 launch title out there.
Spider-Man has more mainstream appeal, though, so that's the better marketing route to take.
I know Sony has been doing this "silent bomb dropping" of news regarding PS5, but we are less than 3 weeks until initial release (20 days, actually), and we have seen more of the PS5 hardware, the UI, and Miles Morales, than any of the other PlayStation exclusive release games.
@Abwag Yeah, at first I though ratchet is a launch game but I remember there's already sackboy at launch (for family friendly games), sackboy will have no chance if the game released along with ratchet & clank ps5.
@Medic_Alert I forget about that game , why there's no gameplay previews for it, weird. Also I think $70 is a bit much for multiplayer focused game considering rocket league & fall guy is only about $20 at launch.
@Medic_Alert There's possibility that's an in-game currency, but yeah, don't ever pre-order before the reviews come out, for all games.
@Medic_Alert I mean for digital games, we can always sells the games if we don't like it with physical version
@Medic_Alert I usually buy digital for all sony 1st party games but $70 is a bit much since I usually buy a couple of games. So maybe I'll buy the game physical, sell it after I'm done, and buy the digital version when it's discounted on psn. Or buy it digital (after reading the reviews of course) but play it until I got the platinum and hold off buying another games.
I think this fall my wallet is gonna be empty
