Marvel’s Avengers is shaping up to be a solid superhero-themed co-op brawler, and we’re really looking forward to playing the final version next week. However, it’s clearly not without its flaws, and this flashy CG spot makes us dream of the game it could have been. While this promotional spot is only 60 seconds long, it packs in more awesome than we experienced in several hours with the release’s recent beta.
Nevertheless, we’re remaining optimistic – especially with Spider-Man on the horizon. Will you be picking up Crystal Dynamics’ latest? Hulk smash the comments section below.

The art direction and color palette is better in that trailer than the actual game.
@RBMango That trailer is better than the game full stop.
This is ultimately an easy pass for me. I was so hyped to see Crystal Dynamics (one of my fav developers) making a Marvel game. Especially after how good Spider-Man was on PS4 I felt good SP Marvel games were back.
Unfortunately month after month I've realised it's not a game for me. I have no interest in online multiplayer, no interest in loot based games with raids/strikes. No interest in endless gameplay loops and no interest in playing a game Single Player that wasn't designed that way. The combat looks iffy too but I'll leave reviewers to confirm if the combat is good or not.
Best of luck to those who are looking forward to it though. Sadly this looks like the finished product isn't the game I was hoping/expecting it to be.
It's so weird to me that they're clearly touting Captain America's involvement, yet canonically he "dies" in the opening tutorial. And what? He's not coming back?
Dude's front and center on the box and the promos. It's weird they act like he won't be playable by game's end.
What impact does his "death" have on the player if it's clearly a ruse?
@MFTWrecks That's been super confusing to me as well. Anyone with half a brain knows that Captain America isn't dead, so I don't get why Crystal Dynamics is treating its audience like gullible morons. Completely pointless.
Having played the disappointing beta, this just makes it worse. I had so much hope. Ugh
Getting quite excited now, really enjoyed the beta so i hope the 1st hurries up haha
I played the 2nd beta with everything I could find maxed out @4K on my PC and it did not impress.
This is going to be a rental at some point just like MUA3 (also was "meh")
Have Morales and the new Batman games, to hopefully get a good super hero game.
Wished the game was as good as the trailer. Wish the best for those who enjoyed the beta but for me, I'd probably get it once it's on a sale or once it's on a better state.
I'm still excited for the game, though I also still have concerns about its longevity and whether I'll want to go back and continue playing it after I've finished the main story (which seems relevant as I think that is what gave a lot of people who wanted to like the game a bad impression in the beta i.e. the repetitive and boring drop zones you did after finishing the story content that was available).
Hopefully Monday's War Table begins to clear that up, though I'm curious as to why they scheduled it after Early Access opens up (I saw something earlier indicating it'll be available at 9AM PT/12PM EST here in the US?). It seems like doing it today/tomorrow/Saturday would have been a better option.
The art direction in this commercial is better than what we're getting with the game itself lol
Looks way more over the top, in a good way.
Also, speaking of Avengers, I really find the qtes laughable. They're really nothing more than "press this button to continue" lol
CGI trailer got me excited again for the game admittedly...I'll be playing it on September 4th no matter what in the end.
Multiplayer is ruining gaming, so many games i would be looking forward to but they are mp. Screw multiplayer
