Sony really goes to town with marketing for its major PlayStation releases, and that's no different for The Last of Us: Part II. The platform holder has brought us more traditional promotional material like this excellent TV spot, but it's also buying advertising space on public transport in certain areas.
Yes, there's a Last of Us 2 hype train in California.
Pete Ellis, a designer working at Naughty Dog, pointed out the train over on Twitter:
As you can imagine, the puns have been rolling into the station one after the other. Even PlayStation boss Hermen Hulst joined in, commenting that "The Last of Us Part II is going to be an incredible ride". Good one, Hermen.
The Last of Us 2 finally reaches its destination on 19th June. Will you be climbing aboard? Mind the gap in the comments section below.

Well played Sony, well played...
Chew chew, all aboard, last call before the train to the state of crippling depression and crying your eyes out (both out of joy and despair) at what ND cooked for all of us.
Oh, The Last of Us, I can't wait!
So it's PS5 reveal on Thursday and Reviews of TLOU2 on Friday. I don't think I like how these 2 are going to be battling for the spotlight. But things keep happening and things keep getting postponed so can't really fault Sony.
@TheArt I don't think it'll be a problem to be honest. If anything, it's just more hype for the community.
Looks like a Hershey bar.
Still don't care this game...
Spider-Man got inside the train as well.

It’s The Last Of Us Train To Busan!
@get2sammyb PS5 looks like it's going to steal the shine a little bit with articles after articles, I mean we all know what just a controller(DualSense) did.
Will it be as late as the game has been?
Gotta give 'em credit, Sony know how to advertise. Remember when they made a giant web at Sony HQ for Spider-Man?
They are on the right TRACK with advertising for this game
@djlard ok so why did you come on this post?
Imagine seeing this in real life as a surprise. Woo Woo Chug-a Chug-a! I am onboard 100%.
@RazielReaper It's weird, I've never been so hyped for a depressing game like this before.
@Taylorzombie Just to mention, that enough is enough and there are more better games than this one. But thats personal opinion.
Prelease video game hype? Postrelease hype is what interests me. That is when i hear about smooth frame rates, sharp graphics, and that the game play is interesting and fun.
@djlard You're just making a fool out of yourself lol. "I don't care about this game, so I'm gonna click on an article about the TLOU2 to say that I don't care cause I CLEARLY don't care about this game"
Get out of here.
@djlard How do you know that there are better games if you haven't played the game yet?
@KahnArtizt07 Same here. This is the first time in a long, long while that I've been so excited to get a game, and boy oh boy, I know I'm gonna be very depressed as I power through it... Fun, fun, fun!
@Nepp67 If your favourite newspapers are interested in just one thing, you just mention, that sometimes its enough @stocko @Grimwood Thank you for understanding me.
@djlard Again if you didn't care about this game, you wouldn't be here right now lol. Try to keep that in mind when making a comment like that. I know you said it's personal opinion but you can't say it when you havent even played it. Also we're getting close to the release of TLOU2 and the embargo date. It's not surprising that they're going to talk about it a lot.
@djlard oh i see
