After an unexpected age rating sort of gave the project away, L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files has been confirmed for a PlayStation VR release. Better yet, it's actually out right now on the PlayStation Store following the State of Play announcement.
Originally released alongside the PC release of the 2017 remaster of one of Rockstar's finest, this VR spin-off rebuilds seven existing cases with new layers of immersion. We're sure you've all seen some of the hilarious gifs and memes showing off what happens when the experience goes wrong in virtual reality, but we have heard good things about the game overall.
L.A. Noire: The VR Case Files for PlayStation VR also delivers an enhanced technical experience specifically built for the PlayStation system including greater draw distance and upgraded visual fidelity; new sitting and standing modes (including a new “Crouch” button for easier object inspection); enhanced navigation, locomotion and weapon tuning.

Definately intrigued! I wonder what the price is...
I'm irrationally excited about this!
@invictus4000 $30: https://store.playstation.com/en-us/product/UP1004-CUSA15405_00-LANVRCASEFILES01
Recently replayed it on Switch, and the reworking of the doubt/lie/truth thing into good cop/bad cop really worked for me. Enjoyed it much more than back in the day and even ended up finishing it this time. If the updated interrogation mechanic is in this, I'm definitely interested
If there's a physical release and I've got spare pennies, I'll buy one and keep it sealed. (I'm seeing VR as the hottest retro-to-be market right now... though I've only actually donned the headset about twice in this past year.)
Does anyone know how long the gameplay is in this version?
@NotOnlyTheGame Digital only release sadly, physical version doesn't exist.
@KidBoruto I'll probably give it a miss then. I enjoyed the original, though it felt oddly flat. Not enough to play a little bit of it again in VR.
...The way that aspects of LA Noire made their way into RDR2 made me wonder if there might be a playable cop character in the next GTA. GTA Noire anyone?
@NotOnlyTheGame I still wait patiently for a remaster/port of GTA 4 on PS4 or PS5, as well as Bully: Scholarship Edition.
Red Dead Redemption 1 on PS4/PS5 would also be sweet.
@KidBoruto RDR1 seems very likely, since nearly the whole map is already there in RDR2. If you have a Wii, you can get a somewhat enhanced version of Bully Scholarship Edition on that. (That's one of my fondest Wii memories actually...)
@NotOnlyTheGame I already own the 360 versions of both Bully and RDR1 and I have a Xbox One X.
Sadly just not the same thing as official remasters from the team themselves.
