Hold on a second, we're getting another Trails of Cold Steel III trailer before the second game has even arrived on PlayStation 4? Madness.
The timing may be a little weird (although we do need to remember that, unlike the previous games, III is being published by NIS America, rather than XSEED Games and Marvelous), but if you've been wanting to hear how the third title's main characters sound in English, now's your chance.
Trails of Cold Steel III takes place several years after its predecessor, with series protagonist Rean Schwarzer now heading his own class of promising military students. There are a lot of new faces, then, but this is still pretty much a direct sequel to Trails of Cold Steel II.
Which, by the way, is due to release for PS4 on the 4th June in North America, and the 7th June in Europe. And if you're wondering about the first Trails of Cold Steel, that released on Sony's current-gen system earlier this year, back in March. It's well worth a look if you're a fan of character-driven Japanese RPGs.
Trails of Cold Steel III, meanwhile, is still set for a vague 'Fall 2019' release window. Have you prepared yourself for three whole Trails of Cold Steel games in 2019? Put some time aside in the comments section below.

@ShogunRok So After This What do you Think We will get first Ys 9 Or Cold Steel 4
@Areus Now that's a question. Impossible to say at this point but I'll take a bet and go for... Cold Steel 4.
@ShogunRok @Areus i think Trails 4. The game is already out in Japan, unlike Ys 9 which is in early'ish development
still need to finish the first one.word up son
@Areus ys 9 is confirmed.no timetable yet.but I just bought ys 8 lacrimosa of Dana.last week.word up son
@playstation1995 Still have that "word up son" speech impediment?
@playstation1995 ooh what do you think of it? I played it recently and actually enjoyed it a lot more then I thought I would
@playstation1995 Memories of Celceta is coming to the ps4. japan gets it next week who knows when we will get it
As long as there’s steelbook version like the first and second game, I’m in
Never played these before.
But I’m kind of interested.
What’s the gameplay of these games? Like what do you do in them?
@OrangeBagels they are turn based RPG’s that deal with your character’s positioning on the battlefield. Some attacks can hit from close range while others are long range and can deal damage in different shapes... line, triangle, circle. They’re great games and the stories are solid. The only negative I’d say they have is that the graphics are dated but I’ve never been to worried about that
@Areus I got to finish ys 8 first dog.word up son
@Miles_Edgeworth its a great game.actually the demo on psn told me to get it.that demo.its of the chain.i bought us 8 last week.it was on sale for 42$.i was happy that it was on sale.word up son
@Rhaoulos word up son
This is the one I’m waiting for.
@Areus Sometimes it’s a question of if not when. We never got Zero no Kiseki or Ao no Kiseki and at this point I don’t think we ever will.
You would think if they have got the translation for Memories of Celceta on the Vita and it’s been ported to PS4 it will be relatively straightforward to do. But sometimes these things just don’t happen.
I know what i am playing for the winter. Love the first 2.
I just bought the Steelbook Edition of the first game, and I'm going to buy the Steelbook Edition of the second game in june, then the hopefully coming Steelbook Edition of this game near it's release. First time player of the series. But first I have to finish Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet.
i'm going to take a bet for trails of cold steel 4 maybe a 2020 release date
just preordered trails of cold steel 2 and 3
