Acclaimed Metroidvania Hollow Knight Makes the Leap to PS4 in Two Weeks

So it's the same release as other platforms just with a fancy name to signify you don't need to download them as update files due to the base game releasing first?

Still, enjoy. It's a good game, but I had to put it down after a while.

I've been waiting for this announcement since I watched my son play the steam version. Day one purchase. Hollow Knight is a great game, and a nice change of pace from Monster Hunter/Spider-Man ( the games I'm currently playing )

Absolutely phenomenal game, and a complete steal at its price. Everyone should give this a go!

Enjoyed this quite a bit on the Switch, but I'm looking forward to playing it with a good controller.

I knew this game would eventually release on PS4 but this was faster than I thought, poor Switch owners they won't feel special anymore they were saying this was a Switch exclusive for at least a year, now they are gonna say that the game wasn't that great after all 😝

The hell!? Good thing I've waited. I was very frightened to purchase the Switch version, because I'm not very good at playing difficult platformers with the Pro Controller or JoyCon dpad. Now, the fears are gone. All the Dualshock dpad goodness.

Some people here are really mad that this game is coming to PS4 and can't even hide it, lol.

I believe all the dlc is included in the steam version as well. It's a really really good game. It's right up there with axiom Verge. I don't think they're super Metroid perfection though.

@PS_Nation It was the game of the year for a lot of Switch owners and only for Switch or at least for a year so they thought now they are salty they lost their exclusivity

@GKO900 dunno why that should matter to em... at the end of the day it’s a INDIE game plus it’s already on PC... can’t say it’s reallt a exclusive

@Derpie1 It matters to them because they haven't got a lot of good games this year and the only one worthy is SSB which is releasing at the end of the year

In the end I think for each platform holder company fandom they should just enjoy what they have on thier System & what they have in thier games and not go at others...

@Derpie1 There's also the fans who'll dismiss a great exclusive as something just mediocre, until it comes to their favourite platform. Then, it's awesome.
To those gamers, being insecure about "your team" losing an exclusive is so bizzare. Be happy more people get to try it. Devs make more money, thus can make more games. It's win-win. The days when 3rd party exclusives were plentiful are over.

Why they announced it now, I'll buy the ps4 version rather than switch if I know it will come to ps4 this september

Didn't think this was coming until next year. Definitely getting this. I've heard nothing but good things about it.

@EVIL-C PS4 still gets a good bit of 3rd Party Exclusives

While that box w the X on it only can snag timed exclusivity (look at PUBG & such)

And THAT company that has that underpowered Console some games are timed and some are as questionable as some of these companies “corporate decisions”

@ellsworth004 Seems about right, although the UK seems to get stung sometimes. Still seems a great price though.

A cursory look on the US store (as best as I can) and I can’t see it there yet.

I got this game a few weeks ago on Switch and I love it. I'll probably buy it again on PS4, maybe I'll wait for that physical version.
