Blizzard is gearing up for something big with regards to the Diablo series and has been for some time, but we still don't quite know what the developer has been cooking. Fortunately, it sounds like we're getting some details in the relatively near future.
Community manager Brandy Camel has popped up in a new video over on the official Diablo YouTube channel, and in it, she confirms that Blizzard is working on "multiple Diablo projects".
"Some of the are going to take longer than others," Camel admits, but then drops a tease for some sort of reveal or announcement taking place before the end of 2018. "We may have some things to show you later this year," Camel says.
So, what could that be? Is it time for Diablo IV? Is it time for a big Diablo III update? Is it something that, as a PlayStation website, we won't even be covering when it happens? Hopefully we'll find out soon enough.

I'll take anything, just make sure it's on PlayStation.
Diablo 3 switch port will be one of thoses projects.
Brandy Camel. Awesome name.
Diablo 4 here we go
So, multiple Diablo projects. I'd guess...
Diablo 3 Switch Port
Diablo 3 New Expansion (to coincide with Switch)
Diablo 4 "is in development" announcement.
A Diablo Mobile Spinoff of some sort
The only one I'm sure about these guesses is Diablo 4. The fact she said it will always be part of Blizzard (and the financial success of D3) says they will make more Diablo games.
About time!
Multiple projects, though? Expect some real awful guff amongst a solid next instalment or hefty expansion.
Diablo 4 as a PS5 launch game. Do it.
Now that is good news.
I'd love an actual expansion. I bought D3 on launch and loved the reaper of souls expansion. However since then they kind let the game lay out to die- and no one can say that the necromancer was an expansion- it was lazy expensive dlc which I refuse to buy (even though I loved the class before)
I am guess the samller ones are Diablo 3 expansions and the big one is either a Switch port or Diablo IV, though I doubt it's Diablo IV unless they want to upset alot of Diablo 3 players.
@Kienda I think this is absolutely right.
I'm confident in thinking that there will be a diablo mmo like game announcement. And you know what.... that's better than nothing.
@Tasuki why would Diablo 4 upset a lot of Diablo 3 players?
@kyleforrester87 Because all that time they put into the get.getting all that gear and such and not able to carry it over.
@Tasuki they can just keep playing Diablo 3 then I guess, it won't go anywhere and it's not as if it's been enjoying many substantial updates in recent years. I think most people are ready for a sequel now to be honest and would welcome the news. No doubt a few people will be upset but you'll always get a few folk who can't let go.
All free time will be gone...
@kyleforrester87 I guess there's not really anything lacking in game play or appeal that couldn't be addressed with an expansion.
