God of War is an incredibly pretty game, so it's a bit of a shame that it hasn't shipped with a photo mode. Fortunately, as reported previously, a photo mode is in the works, and it'll be arriving as a free update in the near future.
Proving that it exists (and that it looks really, really good), developer Sony Santa Monica has uploaded a couple of sample videos to Twitter. As you'd expect, you can pause the action at any time, reposition the camera, and snap away. And yes, you can alter the faces of Kratos and Atreus. Hilarious results will no doubt ensue.
Are you looking forward to God of War's photo mode? Pause time and take some pics in the comments section below.

Kratos is Popeye's pappy? It all makes sense why Popeye is so strong, he's part demigod!!

The only thing better than this is the new trailer Playstation Europe just posted.

@Enuo Spoiler warning, the first tumbnail on the right shows the final boss...
Man, I wish I didn't click that video...
Why do people have to do that?
While we wait for photo mode Playstation is doing a GoW photo contest. Apparently "Immersive mode" is good for photos now. I'm guessing it's a "no HUD" mode.

@Octane Yeah I briefly caught that earlier. Such a scummy thing to do and worst thing is, it works. Nearly 1.5m people have watched it...WHY????!!!!!
@adf86 What? 1.5 million!?
I hope they're just a bunch of 8-year-olds that don't have a PS4 and won't be playing it anyway. I don't understand why people would go out and watch it. Like, what's the point?
@Octane My bad. I just got a kick out of it and wanted to share it.
@Octane I hope so, for me I didn't get a good look but thanks for warning others.
@adf86 I saw it again... Alright, the final boss is pretty much spoiled for me...
Don't go on YouTube. I'm not even watching God of War stuff on YouTube, but I don't know if Google keeps track of the articles I'm watching and using that as a basis for YouTube recommendations or what, but I don't like it at all.
Okay... I am not familiar with God of War beyond the little bit I watched my brother play growing up and the fight with Kratos in Shovel Knight. Is this game a good starting point? Because it looks gorgeous, but I don't want to feel lost in the story.
@Octane That sucks mate, hope it doesn't put you off the rest of the game.
@adf86 No, of course not. But I'm a bit bummed people are willing to spoil the game like that for some attention.
@KayFiOS I think it is. This is my first God of War game, and it seems to be a reboot in every sense of the word. Maybe watch a 5 minute recap of the story in the previous games. But if you know he went on a killing spree and murdered the entire Greek pantheon, well, that's all you need to know lol.
@Octane People will be dicks regardless, all you can do is not follow their example.
