We're just hours away from Sony's E3 2017 press conference, so understandably, hype levels are at blistering highs right now. As such, rumours and whispers are all over the place - but it's this supposed God of War release date leak that's currently catching the most attention.
The PlayStation 4 exclusive will undoubtedly be shown during the Japanese giant's event, but will it get a confirmed release date? We'd like to think so, although we'd honestly put money on it being a 2018 launch. According to the aforementioned leak, however, that won't be the case.
Now, this one's admittedly a bit shaky. The leak originates on YouTube Gaming's page for God of War, which shows a 28th November 2017 release date - but anyone could have slapped that on there. Still, if the date is there for a reason, then it may have just spoiled one of Sony's big surprises for tonight.
We're not entirely convinced, but what do you think? Can you see God of War hitting before the year is out? Endure Kratos' rage in the comments section below.

Just seen another rumour that Ni No Kuni II is releasing November as well - hopefully one of these is wrong as it would be a shame for their sales to clash with each other! If it does happen I think I'll have to go for Ni No Kuni and pick up GoW in early 2018.
Sony will completely destroy Microsoft in their E3 conference.
Once again.
If it turns out to be true, then I think I'm going to be wrong with my prediction about Spiderman coming out in November. I doubt Sony would release both of these games in the same month.
It could be true. Remember back in December, (I believe it was posted here as well) that they had a version of the game that was playable from start to finish. We can always hope at least. They also said they would be showing something awesome when it was ready. Not long now.....
I say March also. Pretty sure last one was march.
I'd love it to be true, but I just can't see it.
Must admit I am not a fan of the GoW franchise but last years E3 really looked to have changed my opinion. It looked quite different to previous games (not referring to the visuals but the game-play) and that really grabbed my attention - more so than the incredible graphics...
oh bring it.God of war is the best franchise ever
F**** im going totally broke.. My Gf and i are moving and it costs a lot of money. First the switch too and persona 5
the only way i can see this launching in november is if sony is basically willing to write off a huge chunk of development costs in the short-term and bundle it with every PS4 sold between then and the end of december.
Please let this be right but I am thinking we will see days gone this year at god of war in the spring 2018
I really hope so, that's the perfect time for more God of War.
Dear god, Ni No kuni, God of War and now Xenoblade??? Everything for 2017!?
@Frank90 "and now Xenoblade"
Can you elaborate on that? I know they've been saying "2017" since the reveal but that's all I've seen, been expecting 2017 in Japan, 2018 in the West.
On topic - I'm ok w/ November, but who goes shopping the Tuesday after BF weekend? Nobody has any money left, that's pretty much the worst Tuesday of the year to release. I know the EU doesn't have Thanksgiving, but BF seems to be taking over the world.
Business wise if they're going with an exclusive this holiday, God of War makes the most sense but I'd prefer Spider-Man (no way both release in 2017 so I hope it's the latter, not the former).
With the game supposedly being fully playable earlier this year by those on the development team, this wouldn't entirely surprise me. Either way I'm still taking it with the heaviest grain of salt I can find.
