We've been posting about Gran Turismo Sport's recently released PlayStation 4 beta for a few days now, but most of the footage has come courtesy of compressed livestreams. Finally, a YouTube user has taken the time to whip out their capture card and grab a few minutes of footage running in 1080p at 60 frames-per-second, though. And the results are… Quite incredible to say the least.

Without wanting to sound like a broken record, the lighting is above and beyond anything else on the PS4 right now – it gives the presentation a photo-realistic feel that we're yet to see on the system. Some of the track details are a bit iffy – the grass and trees, for example – but this is a beta so it's possible higher resolution assets may be used in the final release.

The performance, as far as our naked eye can perceive, is close to rock-solid even given the number of cars on the starting grid. And the sound, like we already reported, is vastly improved. So all that's left to touch upon are the physics, which look great as you'd expect. There's still progress to be made here, then, but the game's come a long, long way since it was announced.

One to look forward to for sure.
