Destiny: Rise of Iron Launch Trailer Turns Up the Heat

Much like The Taken King before it, Rise of Iron is looking to breathe a lot of new life into Destiny. The PlayStation 4 expansion launches next week on the 20th September, and Bungie's released a rather good trailer to get you in the mood.

Highlighting the add-on's story, which features Saladin, the last surviving Iron Lord, it's a solid video that fans of the sci-fi shooter should eat right up. As for the expansion itself, you can expect a whole new series of plot-driven quests, a new free roam map to explore, a ton of fresh loot, a new social space, new Crucible maps and modes, new Strikes, and a new Raid.

Would it be worth me getting the "complete" collection, if I have never played Destiny before? Or would I be a bit too late to the "game", to bother with it?

@scubydo I think if you're interested and you haven't played Destiny before, the collection offers a lot of value for your money. I also don't think you'd be too late to the party as it were - I'm sure there'll be plenty of new players just starting out once Rise of Iron launches.

That said, I bet you'll be able to get the collection cheap once the holiday sales roll around.

@scubydo I recommend the complete collection, because after entering the code for the expansions, you'll get an item that will directly bring you to level 40 so you don't have to level from scratch. Also, in a reduced price it is a great deal; I've already spent 80 hours with the base game + taken king.

I preordered. Been back on for a few days now and I'm really enjoying it. Prison of Elders is fun again! There's a new strike! Malok is a pain if you don't kill him quickly! The nightfall is still a laugh!!! Oh, and if you can get the complete collection then there's literally HUNDREDS of hours of content. Just make sure you're playing with some decent people and it's a really good laugh.

I played some Destiny the other day..I dunno, I've tried a couple of times and it's not doing it for me anymore. I will be getting this day one though, I think I just need some new interesting quests and story content to get into. I'm just not bothered about the crazy long exotic quest lines I think.

Will be fun doing some closed PVP matches with the guys on here, too.

@scubydo definitely get the collection if you haven't played cause the amount of content compared to just the one,greatly out weighs the bad of not getting it. Is vanilla guys got screwed new players get rewarded with all that you get. It's worth the money though for sure.
