An announcement that surely would have made for a better ending to Sony's PlayStation Experience press conference than, er, Paragon, Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom has been announced as a PlayStation 4 exclusive.
The gorgeous looking role-playing game sequel comes from horribly talented Japanese studio Level-5, and it's reveal trailer is a real stunner. Following the story of a young king as he strives to create a great kingdom, this was easily one of the most impressive parts of Sony's event.

Just love, all I can say about this sequel is love.
I actually hated the characters in the first game, gameplay was decent.
Loved the first game and cannot wait for this 😃😃😃😃😃
Gorgeous.
Loved ni no kuni 1 even if the it was a bit childish . This one looks interesting. Wonder if it's more of the same game play
When I saw this I actually shouted out The PS4 gets better all the time.
Language -Tasuki-
I was excited then I heard the English voices and threw up a little. Still gonna buy it tho since it will hopefully have dual language.
Getting this an exclusive is another good move by Sony not sure if the original was an exclusive or not. This one came totally out of the blue not often that happens. The first game did need a lot of grinding so will have to get used to that again.
I loved the first game, can't wait for no. 2!
I'm surprised it looked so good/polished but a release year wasn't even given...
I was very confused while watching this trailer. The trailer keeps mentioning a King who has to prove himself, but yet they kept showing footage of a little blonde girl. Finally I realized that that little girl is actually the male character they keep referring to.
Stellar character design there, Level-5. Oliver at least looked like a male.
I'm sure the game will be great and I did enjoy the first one. Still, if your character is meant to be a young boy, make him look like a boy.
Ah man, hype through the roof!
This is what I've been waiting for. Games like this.
Never even heard of the first one, is it on PS4 and I missed it?
Loved the exploration, visuals and overall atmosphere of the first one -
if they can spice up the characters and the battle system a little bit more, this could be the long awaited HD JRPG defying experience we've all been waiting since last gen...
@Tasuki Ps3. And there'a a version on 3DS but it's not really the same game and it never came out of Japan anyways. If you love JRPGs or/and Studio Ghibli you should definitely give it a try There's also the whole monster collecting thing going on if you're into Pokemons
I liked the story of the first one, and the "Through the Looking Glass" nature of the fantasy world being related to the real world. It doesn't look like the story of this one has the same aspect, but that's okay. The idea of "building a Kingdom" within the world of Ni no Kuni sounds promising. The graphics of the trailer look good, but it's not clear that all the stuff is rendered in-game. The building at the end with the giant monster attack it, that looks rendered. Everything else — are we falsely assuming it's somehow reflective of actual gameplay? Isn't it just the anime cut scene stuff?
Oh wow, dreams do come true and I can't wait to play the sequel! I saw shades of Princess Mononoke and Nausica in the designs there which was was pretty neat. Btw, was Studio Ghibli credited in the trailer? Don't think I saw it.
@Feena Ah ok that would explain why I didn't hear of it, I don't own a PS3.
All my rants can be forgotten. Ni No kuni 2 is my must have game on the ps4. I cried because of this!
Called it! Hope it's not too far away
@3DSWiiUFanatic Have you seen uncharted? Think ps4 is cappable to do this sort of magic. Ni No kuni 1 looked amazing as wellicht
