The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is recognised as being one of the best role-playing releases in years, but it has been criticised for its performance problems on the PlayStation 4. Fortunately, this is an area that developer CD Projekt RED is continuing to focus on, and community manager Marcin Momot teased that fans of Geralt can look forward to further performance improvements on Sony's system in the title's next patch.
"Was just looking at the changelog and it looks really impressive – the list of changes is massive," he beamed. "The update will bring a lot of fixes and improvements including PS4 performance, plus many more. We ask for a bit more patience."
With the title's first major expansion, Hearts of Stone, due out next month, we suspect that the patch won't be too far away. Are there any areas in the game that you think still need tightening? Chase a floating foetus in the comments section below.

I still notice frame drops on certain cut scenes. I also got alot of pop in in certain areas too. Also every time I got into the inventory and scroll over to potions or crafting it keeps giving me the pop up tutorial telling me about pins. There is also a tiny bit of texture tearing in places, although its rare. Apart from that its all good.

Well played.
I feel bad because I complained about not having New Game+ then they give it to us and I haven't touched it... I just can't find the time. I plan on playing the DLC ASAP though.
even with all those problems and glitches/bugs that have plagued Witcher3 since its launch - we all cant praise that developer enough for taking so much time and effort in fixing every tiny little and last bug and improving the overall game experience further and further ever since the release - this major support for the game itself, the whole franchise, and of course the community/fans - last but not least all those DLCs that were given to the players FOR FREE - all of this sums up that CD PROJECT should be stated as a role model for every other company in the business - THIS is how you treat players/community and a franchise
Yea ive got one major problem with the game. I still havent finished it. Hoping for a dead month or 2 this winter, but with fallout looming, and destiny on track, i fear this may be a never finished game.
Nice. Now put everything on disc and release the Patched Edition, please.
I can't complete a side quest in skellige where I can't kill a werewolf. Aside from that I'm extremely happy with the game and the developers. Still so much left to do and now the first expansion is due out. Where will I ever find the time to play these quality games that are out/due out?
This is definitely next in line in my list of PS4 purchases, so great news.
@blakey78 Did you kill the guys down by the boats where you ask them about the werewolf? If you kill them you can't complete the quest.
@domiddian I must have then, cos the bugger just won't die lol. Hopefully there's a fix in the not too distant future. Saying that though, dirty funds still sits incomplete in my list of tasks grrrr. Still, neither detract from one of my top five games in the last few years.
I had one of the dlc quests bugged and if I go near campfires the game crashes, still my GOTY unless X is as amazing as the trailers show it to be.
