After complaints of a lowered framerate in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt following patch 1.07, CD Projekt Red dedicated the title's latest update, 1.08, to boosting performance back to its best. According to a detailed report from our friends over at Digital Foundry, 1.08 delivers on its promises, too, cleaning up any framerate issues that 1.07 introduced.

However, if the open world role playing game's performance still isn't to your liking, the publication has a suggestion. Patch 1.07 added optional post-processing effects such as blur and motion blur, and apparently, disabling both of these can lead to the release running even smoother, especially in dense areas. And what's more, the resulting visual downgrade isn't all that noticeable.

In any case, it's at least something to try in order to see if your own experience is altered for the better. Have you been gallivanting about as Geralt after update 1.08? Have you noticed any improvements? Tell us why anything under 30 frames-per-second is a broken mess in the comments section below.
