Street Fighter V PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Capcom has high hopes for Street Fighter V, the PlayStation 4 and PC exclusive fighter that was officially announced late last year. As part of the Japanese publisher's latest earnings report, it announced that the brawler will release within its current fiscal year, which means that it's set to arrive anytime before 31st March, 2016. That matches up with its rumoured spring release window, but is subject to change, of course.

The firm added that it expects the sequel to really flex its muscles at retail, with a not-so insignificant two million sales forecast. It did clarify that it anticipates that it will achieve this number across both physical shops and digital outlets such as the PlayStation Store, so it sounds more than reasonable to us. In fact, we wouldn't be surprised if it did a bit better than that – this is still a big brand, after all.

Elsewhere, the ever entertaining Yoshinori Ono has been tweeting about the title, telling his 68,000 followers that he "can't wait for E3" next month, where the release will presumably have a big presence. Series antagonist M. Bison was the previous character teased, so we're sure that he'll be putting in an appearance during Sony's press conference.
