Street Fighter V is clearly a long way away from being finished, but Capcom is taking an interesting approach with the game, allowing pros to get hands-on time with an early version of the sequel – before presumably grilling them for feedback thereafter. And in the video embedded below, you'll see veteran Daigo 'The Beast' Umehara take on Taiwanese champion Bruce 'GamerBee' Hsiang in a demo of the upcoming release.
To our untrained eye, the balance doesn't appear to be quite there yet. For example, you'll see Chun-Li launch an unstoppable Omega attack about half way into the video, which seems to last longer than it should. Moreover, we're not overly keen on the slower pace of the action – but again, we suspect that this is all open to tuning. One thing that the developer does appear to have nailed is the presentation, which may look familiar, but is already clearly a step up.

Yeah, that omega was ridiculous. In regards to the speed, I can see this being left alone to pave way for the inevitable super, turbo and hyper editions, which will more than likely be multi-platform. PS4 is the testing platform. Just an opinion based on my armchair perceptions of the series and industry trends these last few years.
Am I the only one who finds it funny that you guys kind of have to type "Console Exclusive" every time you write about SF5.
@Artie Sony is helping develop Street Fighter V, so it's not likely that you will see even a turbo remix on other consoles because it will share the same codebase. That's like hoping for a remix of Bayonetta 2 on the PS4. Once the platform holder puts their finger into development or funding of a title, baring some freak license agreement (and it would have to be a big one), it's not going to show up elsewhere.
Sony did an amazing job to get Street Fighter V as an exclusive, cannot wait for this. It's looking good, things will change before release also.
See, Vita could handle this game no sweat. They need to bring a good Street Fighter to Vita, that Tekken crossover wasn't too great.
Can't wait for this fifth installment, defiantly going to need a new stick.
