Rockstar Games has launched a brand new patch for the PlayStation 4 port of Grand Theft Auto V, which is designed to fix “intermittent online connectivity errors”. The update is available now, and weighs in at approximately 300MB. It should download automatically if you leave your system in Rest Mode. There are more details on how to do that through here.
The re-release hasn’t exactly enjoyed the smoothest launch this week – but it’s fared much better than the likes of DriveClub and Assassin’s Creed Unity. At first, many reported issues importing their Grand Theft Auto Online character – and then a hiccup prevented people from downloading the title’s day one patch. Let’s hope that all of these problems are cleared up now, then.

Thank Youuuu! Every time I get online I'm only in a server by myself. It wouldn't let me stay in one with other people. I've been lonely
I thought it was 1.14GB?
Strange, my buddy somehow was given the patch yesterday afternoon so was unable to join anyones online session because of missing content or something like that, then i was given the patch around 1am this morning and we were able to play again. In both instances the patch was in excess of 1gb. Is this a 3rd patch? We both already had the day one patch originally.
Okay but does it actually work.must say this gen is turning into a complete farce with all these broken games..and the dodgy network and the fact that a few days after new stability patches my ps4 runs slow everytime.
Each update has been 1.14gb so far. So stoked with how on the ball R* are being with this launch. So good to get back to Los Santos!

It is really getting f'ing ridiculous. I wonder if it has anything to do with the original DRM plans MS had, and lets not be naive, Sony more than likely had them too but backtracked when it saw the heat MS was getting. There really is absolutely no excuse for some of what has gone on. I'm tired of hearing about how publishers have deadlines and blah blah blah. It sucks if there's a deadline and the publisher won't budge but in the case of the AC team they knew what the deal was. Get the game done on freaking time. Same for Halo MCC, same for GTA V and what happened with DriveClub is the biggest freaking joke considering Sony gave the clowns at Evolution an 11 extra months. Enough of the bullcrap already. This had better not be an ongoing issue throughout this generation but given some of the incompetence on display and the scumminess of people in charge of the big publishers, I'm worried about how things are going to play out. This 'it's ok we can patch it later' stuff is bogus. The no-so-hilarious part with GTA V is this same nonsense happened a year ago. They couldn't have been better prepared? Please. I'm more into the singleplayer and thankfully that part of the game isn't broken, so this isn't the complete trainwreck AC Unity, but still it's total garbage that the people who were looking forward to the online part have to deal with this.
Hmm, haven't played since Friday yet have another 1.14GB update to d/l and install. What happened to the 300MB update? WTF is going on?
@Gamer83 i boughy gta for the online only mate.it was terrible on ps3 for connection issues so i thought buying it on ps4 would be a winner being a paid service and all but no..absolutley not! Its nearly as bad as ps3 version if not worse.on friday and saturday night i never connected once citing timed out issues.i am also a big fan of driveclub i think its the best driving experience you can get on console right now,as long as you play singleplayer that is.onlinr is knackered. Althogh its a little better after the patch last tuesday.still left very much wanting though
