Freedom Wars is one of a dying breed of AAA exclusives for the PlayStation Vita. The jaunty JRPG has been on our radar for quite some time, but it was only recently confirmed to be coming to Western shores. However, Sony had originally planned to only release a digital version of the game in Europe, but quickly recanted that idea after a public outcry.
Now, after months of twiddling our thumbs, we've finally got a firm release date. The title will be launching on 28th October in North America, 29th October on the European PlayStation Network, and then 31st October on store shelves in Europe. That's right, your already jam-packed October just got even more busy.

Let's not announce it at an big event like Gamescom, instead let IGN announce it where it might not get full blown coverage compared to Gamescom.

I don't care for this game at all. It's just too weird and it's a tired genre on the Vita. I want a REAL AAA game.
@ObviouslyAdachi I would either store your Vita somewhere or sell it, you aren't getting anymore AAA games after this Holiday.
@Jazzer94 It costs £25, very cheap, so it would be an utter fail on their part.

I wonder if even half of the people on here who were whining about the lack of a physical release previously will even be buying the game. Doubtful.

@artemisthemp It wasn't originally due for a physical release, hence why they 'were' whining. The original announcement was that both Freedom Wars & Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines were to recieve a digital release in the EU.
Noone seems to have bothered about Oreshika though...

I think I'll get it just because I haven't got anything on my Vita for a long time. I'm still playing Final Fantasy X HD, which was the last game I got for it at retail.
