We're sure you've already seen the footage of Assassin's Creed: Unity's multiplayer by now, demonstrated during Monday's press conferences. Since then, it's spawned queries around the internet as to whether our online appearance will be as varied as in previous titles. In a statement made by Ubisoft to Kotaku, there will be no running around as courtesans or witch doctors, as everyone will be playing as hooded protagonist Arno.

"Whether playing by yourself or with the co-op Shared Experiences, you the gamer will always be playing as Arno, complete with his broad range of gear and skill sets that will make you feel unique." While it is disappointing that we won't be seeing as many faces as previous multiplayer experiences, this does suggest that, like Watch Dogs, other players will see you as an entirely different character, which also explains why the three assassins we saw in the gameplay trailer all flaunt their own look. Do you think this is a clever system, or would you rather have a dedicated online mode that isn't tied into single player? Make sure to join the revolution in the comments section below.
