We recently learned the absurdly banal names of Call of Duty: Ghosts' four sets of DLC, and now we have a rough date for the first pack, Onslaught. The official Infinity Ward Instagram posted a creepy clip showing off some new arenas as well as a particularly threatening looking axe. The video is set to the theme from 70s slasher movie Hallowe'en and finishes with a title that reads: "Something menacing is coming 28th January. Get ready for the Onslaught." While we're not exactly sure what the teaser is implying, we suspect that it might be some sort of horror themed expansion. It's also perhaps worth pointing out that the content will presumably debut on Xbox platforms first.
What's perhaps most surprising, though, is that social media app Instagram is now being used for major game announcements. At the risk of sounding cliché, we're definitely getting too old for this. Are you excited for this spooky DLC, or do you think that the long running series needs to be exorcised? Run and gun in the comments section below.

I picked Ghosts up for PS4 at the weekend along with AC4.
Only played a couple of hours worth of multiplayer so far, it's alright, pretty much as you'd expect but no more than that. Good, fast shooty fun. Doesn't seem to have any character though, and I'm fairly certain even at this point that it's not as good as Black Ops 2.
DLC can't hurt.
@The-Sega-KiD that's what it looks like.
Campers are destroying this game, even in modes that promote moving around people friggin camp! The series will become less and less relevant until a way is found to punish camping.. Maybe no plantable explosives and this may seem a bit drastic, but no more sniper rifles. I can't tell you how frustrating it is when I'm playing kill confirmed and my team is hiding with a sniper rifle not picking up tags, nevermind being abused by snipers in a objective based game mode.
@Madd_Hatter401 I've noticed this a lot over the weekend, far more so than Black Ops 2.
It's the map design more than anything else. In the efforts to make bigger maps they've created much more sniper friendly landscapes. If people want to snipe, that's fine by me, I'm crap at it and it gets boring.
I find playing with people like that quite helpful though, they highlight areas on maps that I may miss otherwise.
