Get ready to shred with this impressive list of music anthems for Ubisoft's upcoming rock-a-thon, Rocksmith 2014 Edition.
Announced at E3 this year, the title is playing a follow up gig to Rocksmith, and allows you to plug your guitar or bass guitar into your console with a standard jack cable and play along with your selected track.
The musicians among you who owned a copy of Rocksmith will be able to import the tracks included with that title. However, there will be an extra cost applied to this transfer, although a price is yet to be confirmed. On a good note, if you purchased DLC from the original, it'll be compatible with Rocksmith 2014 Edition for free.
Walk this way and take a look at the complete list of tracks we've outlined for you below. There's a variety of artists to suit the tastes of just about everyone, so don't look back in anger just yet.

Not going to get the game but damn that soundtrack is amazing.
That's awesome! I loved Rocksmith, but didn't care for the set list AT ALL. It looks like they really stepped it up and got tracks people actually care about this time. I can't wait to give it a go
A7X are on there - I'm happy.
Iron Maiden is the only interesting track, so not gonna pick it up for now.
Looks like they have really beefed things up for the 2014 edition and not just in songs.
I'm still waiting to see what Bandfuse does when it is released though. As someone who already plays guitar, I am way more interested in the scrolling tab interface in Bandfuse (tab is the worldwide standard for guitar music) than the guitar hero note style that Rocksmith uses.
I have a feeling that beginners will prefer Rocksmith, and more experienced guitar players (who know tab) will lean to Bandfuse. There would be a steeper learning curve with tab, but it is music reading skill that is applicable outside the game, so important.
In any case I am watching and listening.
Ugh that's a list of songs I never want to hear again. Lots are on Guitar Hero or Rock Band, and none of them have lead or rhythm parts with any technique. I love Nirvana, but you can teach yourself every song in 2 seconds. If it had really talented, original guitarists' work that teaches you how to actually be a musician, then I'd plug my Strat in any day. Not for "Walk This Way" and "Knockin on heavens door", my gawd. Some decent bands, but they all have way better songs that aren't all over the radio anyhow
