Square Enix Promises Final Fantasy X HD Answers Soon

Don’t worry, Square Enix has not cancelled Final Fantasy X HD. Well, not yet anyway. Responding to a fan request on Twitter, the company noted that “the world will get answers” about the hotly anticipated PlayStation 3 and Vita port soon. It’s the first time that the title has been mentioned since February, when producer Shinji Hashimoto clarified that the title will be a remaster rather than a remake.

Meanwhile, in another message posted earlier in the week, the publisher reassured followers that the long overdue Final Fantasy XIII Versus is "currently in development”. The question is: do you still care about either of the titles? Let us know in the comments section below.

I dont really care about FF X but I would play it on Vita. FF Versus XIII on the other hand im dying to play. I rewatched the gameplay footage of it that was released 2 yrs ago just last night. I have saved on my ps3's hdd. I know that Versus is likely to be multiplatform now and may even be a ps4 launch title but for god sakes just finish the bloody game and release it already!

@3Above I agree that it will be PlayStation 4 and the next Xbox title at this point. I also hope they finish it too, because as someone who's not a huge Final Fantasy fan, I've always been interested in that game.

@get2sammyb Same with me. The whole concept of the fabula nova chrystalis compilation is what drew me in. And the modern look of Versus appealed to me. And id like to go on record as saying I personaly really enjoyed FF XIII and dont think it was near as bad as people made it out to be. Had they stuck with that style of story telling in XIII-2 it might actually have made sense but as it is 13-2 is a narrative mess and lead them to scrap the compilation concept they started with to the point that they even changed Agito XIII to Type 0.

I just don't see why Square don't show something - anything. For either games. Either they're prepping a gigantic reveal that's 7 years (SEVEN YEARS) in the making, or... You know what? I don't even know anymore.

FFX on Vita would be a sweet deal, though.

yup ff10 on the vita would boost some much needed sales....one 1 purchase for me

Yeah I hope that from now on most if not all Vita games will run at native resolution. Gravity Rush would have looked alot better if it was at vita's native res. Still loved that game and hope they do actually make a sequel.

I didn't know that Final Fantasy X will be released on the PS3? I thought it was only for the PSVita. Anyway, I'm excited to get this game for the PS Vita! I still haven't beaten Nemesis! Nor have I ever unlocked him!
