Deadly serious

Hotly anticipated sequel Darksiders II was unable to displace the excellent Sleeping Dogs on this week’s UK sales charts. The Square Enix published open-world adventure enjoyed a second week at the top of the charts, after debuting in pole position just over seven days ago.

It wasn’t all bad news for troubled publisher THQ however, as Darksiders II outsold its predecessor by an impressive 80 percent. It did have an extra three days to do it, though.

Elsewhere, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron debuted in fifth, while London 2012 fell off the podium into fourth. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes constructed its way into sixth, while LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7 clung onto its position in tenth.
