It’s a testament to the sheer scale of Assassin’s Creed III that its naval combat system is considered a side-mission. This brand new trailer – narrated by creative director Alex Hutchinson – outlines some of the features of the mode, including the dynamic weather system, which is able to transform calm waters into deadly whirlpools. As with everything else in the upcoming historical sequel, it looks absolutely incredible.

It looks pretty great. I have yet to play any of the AC games but I think if I was going to start it I would just start with this one.
This looks great, as does everything about this game. Still it is a pity that they didn't show actual gameplay.
