Ubisoft’s released a brand new seven minute video of Assassin’s Creed III. The Frontier demo was shown to press during E3 last week, and includes full narration from creative director Alex Hutchinson.
The footage includes a look at numerous mechanics from the game, including hunting and combat. But perhaps most staggering is the free-running gameplay, which sees protagonist Connor dashing between trees. It takes a very brave developer to tackle something as technically complex as what’s on display here.
Check out the video below, and let us know what you think in the comments. Looking pretty good, huh?

My most anticipated PS3 game (I've been waiting years for Pikmin 3, and to finally stop playing games in SD).
Currently playing inFamous (1) and I can't believe how good that game looks and controls - especially for a launch title. My wife commented that he moves a lot better than Nathan Drake, and he does. He actually moves better than any Spiderman I've played. Cole is a cross between Jak - jumping and dodging - and Sly - climbing.
So, if that was a a launch title, I'm really looking forward to see what Ubisoft can do now. I haven't played any AC games before but I'm jumping straight into this one.
1 thing that really stood out to me playing inFamous - that I also saw in this video - was the lack of visual cues for climbing. Seems almost every other 3rd person game has handhelds highlighted in some way. Running through the trees didn't really impress me all that much, but climbing the rock cliff it was noticeable.
This game looks better and better with every new trailer I see, it can't get here soon enough.
