Mortal Kombat's Coming In April 2011. It's Bringing Some Exclusive Fatalities With It.

Retailer exclusive fatalities are not so nice. Still, that's exactly what Warner Bros. has announced, confirming original finishers for Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Reptile when the title is pre ordered from various retailers in the US.

Warner Bros. would argue that those who pre-order the game are getting some bonus content, but it's easy to look at it the other way. In essence, everyone's getting locked out of specific content, and for fans that's a pretty shoddy situation to be in. Not cool.

As with any big release, Mortal Kombat will also be getting Kollector's and Tournament editions. The Kollector's edition will include Sub-Zero and Scorpion figurines, a collectible art book, DLC for "Mortal Kombat Klassic costume skins" and avatar costumes. The Tournament edition, limited to 20,000 copies, will include the game, DLC and a "portable fight stick". No idea what that is, mind.
