Looking for all Items and how to craft them in The Last of Us 1? While all Weapons locations and upgrades will provide you with your primary offensive options in Naughty Dog's devastating post-apocalyptic world, you'll also want to construct some tools and utilities to aid your endeavours. Many of the game's 6 Items will require scavenged supplies to craft, and sometimes you'll need to make difficult decisions about how you use them. You can craft at any time by pushing the touchpad, but we'd recommend you only do so when there are no enemies nearby.

The Last of Us 1: All Items and How to Craft Them

Items have various different uses and advantages, depending upon what you're trying to achieve. You'll need to make difficult decisions about what Items you craft in certain moments, as many share the same ingredients. For example, Alcohol and Rag can be used to create a Health Kit, which replenishes health — or a Molotov Cocktail, which sets crowds of enemies on fire. Ingredients are typically scavenged in smaller denominations, indicated by a portion of a circle. You'll need one full circle of each required ingredient type in order to craft an Item. A wrench icon will appear next to a craftable Item when you have the requisite ingredients.

The effectiveness of the Items can be upgraded using Training Manuals. Please note that you will need to find an Item's recipe through gameplay progression before you're able to craft it. Be sure to craft all the Items to unlock the Geared Up Trophy.

Shiv	Blade	Binding Blade	Shivs excel in stealth situations providing you with an instant silent kill, however they can also be used to unlock Shiv Doors
Melee Upgrade	Blade	Binding Blade Melee weapon	Melee Upgrades can be applied to any melee weapon and improve their durability as well as providing instant kills

Nail Bomb	Explosive	Blade Explosive	Nail Bombs are fantastic at clearing out small crowds of bandits or infected, as they have a large radius and do a lot of damage
Smoke Bomb	Explosive	Sugar Explosive	Smoke Bombs can be useful when there's no obvious cover available and you need to move from one area to another without being detected.
