The latest game from award-winning Dishonored and Deathloop developer Arkane released on 2nd May, 2023 for Xbox Series X|S and PC, and it's left many pondering whether the co-op focused vampire looter shooter will launch on Sony's systems. Microsoft bought Bethesda in March 2021 for $7.5 billion, meaning it acquired subsidiaries like Arkane in the process. Redfall was, allegedly, in development for at least PS5 at that point, according to creative director Harvey Smith. “[Microsoft] came in and said, 'No PS5, we're focusing on Xbox, PC, and Game Pass',” he told IGN France in March. Microsoft had said that it would consider bringing Bethesda's catalogue to PlayStation consoles on a “case-by-case” basis, but it appears it doesn't consider Redfall eligible.
