Back 4 Blood (PS5)

In terms of structure, Back 4 Blood may be the closest thing PS5 and PS4 players have to Redfall. Obviously it concerns itself with zombies rather than vampires, but the principle is the same; it's you and your teammates against supernatural enemies of different shapes and sizes. With plenty of replay value and satisfyingly gory action, there's a lot to like in this blood-soaked co-op shooter.

Bloodhunt (PS5)

Vampire: The Masquerade — Bloodhunt isn't quite the same as Bethesda's co-op shooter. Instead, this is a free-to-play battle royale with a vampiric twist. Playing as one of several types of vampire, you can play solo or in a team to try and be the last one standing. There are lots of fun powers to take advantage of and the game is still receiving regular updates. If you're after a more competitive vampire experience, this is well worth a try.

Borderlands 3 (PS5)

Now, obviously this is quite far removed from vampires, but Borderlands 3 is a great co-op looter shooter all the same. Swapping out the blood-sucking monsters for some silly sci-fi, this entry in the series features fantastic gunplay and, of course, all the weapons you could ever hope for. What it lacks in vampires, it more than makes up for with sheer variety.

Strange Brigade (PS4)

Strange Brigade went way under the radar when it released, but this supernatural co-op shooter from the makers of Sniper Elite is well worth considering. It's quite a different vibe from Redfall — it's set in the 1930s, and is more concerned with mummies and skeletons than vampires. However, it's bursting with personality, and playing this third-person shooter with a buddy or two is a great alternative way of carving through the undead.

Vampyr (PS4)

If you're just interested in the vampires themselves, we can suggest the aptly titled Vampyr. This unique, single-player action adventure has you playing as a doctor who also happens to be a vampire. It's a game that's all about the moral quandary of vampirism. Whose blood do you drink, and what ramifications will it lead to? On top of that is some passable combat that lets you go wild with vampiric attacks. Not exactly a Redfall equivalent, but it certainly ticks the vampire box.

Zombie Army 4: Dead War (PS4)

Another co-op shooter from Rebellion, Zombie Army 4: Dead War is great fun to play with some pals. Exchanging Redfall's vampires for zombies, you'll follow a daft alt-history storyline about an undead uprising in WWII. It's a bit rough around the edges, but it's hard to deny how fun it is mowing down all those shamblers.

And that's about it for our list of the best PS5, PS4 games like Redfall. What do you think? Are there any other vampire-themed games or co-op shooters you would recommend? Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
