MultiVersus: Taz - All Unlockables, Perks, Moves, and How to Win
Below is everything you need to know about Taz in MultiVersus.
Taz: Biography and Overview
Before we begin to learn about all unlockables, moves, and how to win with Taz, we should get to know a little more about the character courtesy of his official biography and overview.
Name | First Appearance | Character Class | Voiced By |
---|---|---|---|
Taz (aka Tasmanian Devil) | "Devil May Hare" (1954) | Bruiser | Jim Cummings |
Taz is just one character from Looney Tunes, and is among the wildest, most unpredictable cartoons in the series. Speaking mostly gibberish, he's portrayed as a crazed animal that's only interested in food, which means run-ins with many of his cartoony co-stars see him chasing them around. Taz is best known for his tornado spin that lets him move around at speed, and can shred through basically anything. He became so popular that he was one of the few Looney Tunes to get his own spin-off show called Taz-Mania, featuring his extended family.

Passive Abilities
Bottomless Pit: Some of Taz's attacks deal Tasty. Tasty enemies receive stacks of Tasty whenever they are knocked back.
When Tasty reaches max stacks, the enemy becomes Cooked and can't attack. When a Cooked enemy takes damage, bits of chicken break off that will heal Taz or his allies if picked up.
Taz will also lick damaged allies he passes and heal them slightly. Licking an ally has a cooldown.
How to Win as Taz
Taz is another Bruiser character, meaning his moves are predominantly about close-range melee. Currently, he's a very popular choice among players because his Side Special, Taz-nado, is pretty overpowered. This move is difficult to counter effectively; unless struck by a Projectile attack, there's very little that can stop the tornado from moving. You can quite easily trap opponents with this move and repeat it until they're ready to ringout. If you're playing as Taz, this is your bread and butter — at least, until it's nerfed.
Other than that, Taz's most unique ability is that he can inflict the status effect Tasty. Many of his moves build towards Tasty. If you successfully max out the effect, the opponent will become Cooked, turning into a roast chicken. In this temporary state, they can't attack, only run away, and you can break off healing chicken pieces. It's worth getting into the habit of trying to build up Tasty.
Taz is also generally pretty good at dealing with Projectiles. Hold down his Neutral Special and he'll swallow incoming Projectile attacks. You can then fire this back out with his Down Special, which is a handy way of turning the tables.
