How Do You Beat The Boss in Metal Gear Solid Delta?

Well, this is it. The game has been building up to your confrontation with The Boss the entire time, and now you'll have to settle things in a beautiful flower field. Can't we just have a nice chat instead?

Armed with The Patriot and exceptional CQC skills, The Boss isn't interested in a chinwag. She fights similarly to Snake, employing effective melee moves that can completely destroy your weapon if you have one equipped. As such, you need to approach this fight very carefully. The usual housekeeping: if you beat her non-lethally, you get a new Uniform called Snake.

You need to use the flower field to your advantage. Equip a camo with a high rating, then lie on the ground and crawl around so she can't track your position. Maouvere yourself out of her eyeline, then pop up for a shot. She'll be immediately alerted to where you are, but you can rinse and repeat this strategy to win.

If she starts to charge towards you, immediately unequip your weapon. This way, she can't destroy it and make you have to pick it up again. If she catches up to you and performs an animation attacking you, it'll go into slow motion for a short time. During this period, press R2 to parry the attack. Also, if you have any Life Medicine left, this is the time to use it.

As such, you're basically playing a big game of cat and mouse with The Boss. Use the flowers to conceal yourself, crawling on the ground so she can't see you. When you feel safe, pop up and search for her. She's usually hiding behind one of the trees. Take a shot at her, then drop back down. Rinse and repeat this strategy, and you'll beat The Boss.

In the cutscene after the fight, if it seems like a certain scene is going on for too long, you must pull the trigger yourself.
