The Way Home: Walkthrough

The Way Home will be locked until you've finished The Wings of the Ten. When you can fly, override a Sunwing and summon it with down on the d-pad. Fly directly west of Storm's Reach. Once you get to the Shipwreck, you'll need to deal with machines, including Snapmaws and Frost Glinthawks. Then scan the wreckage with your Focus and look in the scrap piles for the Gyrocompass. It's in the pile in the middle of the island area.

Then return to Legacy's Landfall and speak to Harriem and Kristia. They'll find the Gyrocompass is broken. Travel west of Legacy's Landfall to the ancient shipwreck site. Fly around on your Sunwing in the search area and Aloy will spot a shipwreck so dive in. Interact with its antenna for an Audio Datapoint. Then swim around the seabed, using your Focus to highlight three batteries to collect.

Mount your Sunwing and fly north of Legacy's Landfall. You'll find another shipwreck guarded by a Dreadwing, which can be killed using Fire damage. Once dead, climb to the hull of the ship to grab the Sensor Unit. Return to Harriem and Kristia to complete the quest.
