Boom or Bust: Walkthrough

Talk to Delah and Abadund in Hidden Ember. They will tell you that Delah's sister, Boomer, has run away into the desert, and you're brought in to help find her. You can either go with Delah immediately or meet her at Boomer's last known location.

Either way, head to the east, following the quest marker on your map. You'll reach some metal "arches". When you get here, scan the area with your Focus to look for Boomer's tracks. Highlight them and follow them.

Eventually, you'll reach some ruins with a bunch of machines. Defeat them so you can search the area. On the far side, you will find Boomer's camp. Examine the area. After a small cutscene, use the Focus to find another set of tracks, and then follow them. You'll come to a dead end, with an Old World wreck atop the cliffs.

Climb up the cliff, using the Focus to highlight handholds and grapple points to move up and over to the right. Once you reach the wreck, go inside and examine a device on the floor. You'll see another wreck in the distance — head for that next.

When you get close enough, you'll spot some tools where Boomer had been working. Examine these, and Boomer will appear, with some machines close behind. Defeat the machines, and then talk to Delah and Boomer. You'll receive Boomer's Shredder Gauntlet, and she'll ask you to test it out on a big machine.

Follow her to the machine, which turns out to be a Shellsnapper. Use your new Shredder Gauntlet if you fancy — the objective is simply to destroy the machine. Once you have, return to Delah and Boomer and talk to them to finish the quest.
