Hogwarts Legacy: Percival Rackham's Trial Walkthrough

Now we know the location of the first trial, it's time to head over to San Bakar's Tower all the way up in the northern region of North Ford Bog. You probably haven't been here — unless you've been doing a lot of exploring in-between main story beats — so get on your Broomstick (See Also: How to Get a Broomstick) and fly over to speed the journey up. Professor Fig wants to see what the goblins are up to before heading into San Bakar's Tower, so equip Disillusionment to keep yourself hidden. Sneak up behind as many goblins as you can and cast Petrificus Totalus to silently kill as many as you can.

When they're all dead, you'll need to search the area for a note. It's in the tent on the left-hand side when you're at the cliff edge. Kill the goblins that spawn, then go inside the tower and interact with the portrait of Percival Rackham a few floors up. After the conversation, go back downstairs and interact with the ancient magic on the floor and enter the doorway.

Much of the opening is linear, but following the first combat encounter, cast Accio to move yourself about on the platform to reach the area on the left. When you interact with the ancient magic on the floor, use the platform to get onto the other side of the doorway to progress. For the next platform puzzle, move it so you can interact with the ancient magic suspended in mid-air. More combat encounters and platform puzzles follow, but they shouldn't present much of a challenge.

Eventually, you'll come across a final room that's packed full of enemies. Stay out of the way of them all and kill them. You'll then need to fight a huge Pensieve Guardian. Once it's been downed, cross the bridge and interact with Percival Rackham's Memories in the basin. After the cutscene, head back to The Map Chamber and strike up a conversation with Professor Fig and Professor Rackham, then talk to Charles Rookwood separately.
