Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Livestock's Bane Walkthrough

Livestock's Bane is a Side Quest in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth that can be started in Chapter 2. As part of our Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth guide, we're going to provide a Livestock's Bane Walkthrough that covers all the stages of the Side Quest. It takes place in the Grasslands.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth: Livestock's Bane Walkthrough

After getting a Chocobo in Chapter 2, this Side Quest opens up and can be started by picking it off the Community Noticeboard in Kalm.

The Farmer's Request

You'll first be sent to talk to who left the note on the Community Noticeboard, who is a farmer on Oliver's Farm. He needs you to defeat a monster killing off livestock.

Investigate the Scene of the Attack

Go to the green marker near the cows to see if Red XIII can pick up a scent. He fails to do so, but suggests using a Chocobo instead.

Search the Area with a Chocobo

Call your Chocobo using R1 and ride it, then hold Up on the D-Pad whilst still on the farm. Your Chocobo will pick up the scent and lead you close to the monster.

Continue Tracking the Perpetrator

Your Chocobo will lose the monster's scent at one point, so pick it up again using Up on the D-Pad. If you ever lose the scent and the golden trail it creates, press the same button again.

Defeat the Fiend

Eventually, you'll be guided down to the coast where you'll find the culprit: a White Terror. This is a pretty difficult fight for the early game, so make sure you're sufficiently levelled and prepared for it.

Report to Oliver

Once the White Terror is dead, return to Oliver's Farm and talk to him to complete the Side Quest.
