Elden Ring: How to Complete Road's End Catacombs

On this page, we're going to reveal how to complete Road's End Catacombs. We'll include the location, a walkthrough, and any additional information, like item drops.

Road's End Catacombs Location: How to Find It

The Road’s End Catacombs is located on the western edge of Liurnia of the Lakes on a cliffside west of the Converted Tower, but you’ll have to take the path that wraps around north of the Minor Erdtree in this area to get there. Follow the path past a couple jellyfish, along the cliff, and through some rocks to find the doors to these catacombs at the end of the road.

Road's End Catacombs: Walkthrough

As with most catacombs, this optional area starts with some stairs down from the Site of Grace with a Jade Goblin waiting to pounce from the hallway to the right. Take it out, pick the Grave Violets, and continue down the hall toward the first chamber, but keep an eye out for a second ambushing Jade Goblin hiding along the right-hand wall. Take it out and step foot into the opening.

Unlike every other catacombs location, this one starts out with the lever to open the boss doors right off the bat – how nice! Actually finding the boss door is a whole separate affair though. Give the lever a pull before descending the stairs and grabbing a couple of Grave Gloveworts [3] and a Grave Glovewort [2]. Deal with the Jade Goblin down the stairs if it’s giving you trouble, but return to the landing that had the Gloveworts.

This is where that cheeky lever right at the beginning starts to make sense. While you can continue further into the catacombs, you won’t find the boss door no matter how hard you look. However, this landing has a couple of Illusory Walls – one directly beside the stairs, and one in the middle of the wall opposite of the stairway. They both lead to the same hidden chamber where you can find a Ghost Glovewort [2], a Rune Arc, and a narrow pathway.

Descend the stairs along this narrow passage to find some Root Resin – but don’t turn around quite yet as there’s another Illusory Wall behind the corpse here. Make it disappear to find another dead end with a Grave Glovewort [2] and – in case you haven’t guessed by now – yet another Illusory Wall at this dead end. This final Illusory Wall takes you to the boss door that we opened up earlier. While you can enter the mist gate and end things right here and now, we’d still recommend backtracking and going through the rest of the catacombs for a few more goodies.

Retrace your steps back up to the landing with the Gloveworts and down the second set of stairs. Before going further, whip around beside these stairs and roll into the cobblestone here to reveal an Illusory Wall here too. This hidden chamber contains two Jade Goblin enemies, a Grave Glovewort [3], some Human Bone Shards, and the Watchdog’s Staff weapon – not too shabby.

You’re finally free of this area’s secrets and can continue into the passageway we’ve ignored up to this point. There’s an arrow trap pressure plate here with a Jade Goblin and a Grave Glovewort [2] in the alcove next to it. Once you’re done here, emerge into the torchlit chamber to find another Grave Glovewort [2] on your immediate right, and a Grave Glovewort [3] near the dead end. This dead end hides – wait for it – another Illusory Wall! Make it disperse to find this area’s final secret – a chamber with a treasure chest. There are three Jade Goblins in this room: one in front of the chest, and one on each side of the entrance. Slay all three before opening the chest and claiming your final prize of these catacombs – the Raya Lucaria Soldier Ashes.

With the Ashes added to your inventory, you’ve finally exhausted all the secrets and Illusory Walls that the Road’s End Catacombs has to offer. Backtrack back out toward the stairs you first descended, back into the narrow passageway, down the steps, through all the previously blocked-off passageways, and finally find yourself back at the mist gate where the Spiritcaller Snail awaits.
