Elden Ring: How to Complete Murkwater Catacombs
On this page, we're going to reveal how to complete Murkwater Catacombs. We'll include the location, a walkthrough, and any additional information, like item drops.
Murkwater Catacombs Location: How to Find It
The entrance to the Murkwater Catacombs is at the end of the winding river path north of the Limgrave lake. There are a few ways to get to it – you can follow the whole river path which eventually ends at the catacombs entrance, you can make use of a geyser to the southeast to jump down on horseback, or you can platform down to it with the gravestones on the cliffside. Any way you slice it, they’re all good for getting to the doors, opening them, and getting to the Site of Grace within.
Murkwater Catacombs: Walkthrough
The first chamber of these catacombs looks harmless, but it actually houses three hidden Jade Goblin enemies. Whip around to the immediate left corner to find one sitting still – ripe for the picking. Take it out and prepare yourself for another Jade Goblin that’ll quickly advance on your position before taking out the third and final one that drops from the ceiling. After they’ve all been dispatched, pick up the couple Grave Glovewort patches and enter the next passageway.
Your next destination is the lever in front of the illuminated statue ahead of you, but a few deadly surprises await. The first is a pressure plate that sends a salvo of fire arrows straight at you. They really hurt if you’re caught in their path, but they can actually be used to your advantage. Get the attention of the two Jade Goblins that flank the lever and begin backing up. If you can get them into the path of the arrows, activating the pressure plate a couple of times and quickly standing aside should be enough to send them both packing. Just be mindful of the Jade Goblins’ projectile attacks. Any shield should be enough to keep you safe from them.
Those two Jade Goblins aren’t all there is though, as a third goblin waits around the left corner. After disposing of the three goblins, grab yourself the Root Resin and pull the illuminated lever. Head back to the branching path, but be mindful of the pressure plate. Head down the stairs to the path you haven’t taken yet to find the door you just opened with the lever.
This chamber is extremely similar to the last – there’s a pressure plate that’ll send arrows flying in your direction, a couple of Jade Goblins flanking your destination, and a third goblin hiding on the wall above the archway. Take them out in whatever manner you see fit – you can use the floor trap against these guys too, or just do them in the old fashioned way. All that’s left afterwards is to grab the Ghost Glovewort and head down some stairs to find the boss gate that leads to the Grave Warden Duelist.
